Most certainly, there are many different options to choose from. You can stamp and or stain the concrete to fit your design choices.

So, what is stamped concrete? Stamped concrete also known as decorative concrete is simply concrete that has a shape, pattern or specific design “stamped” into it before it cures that looks similar to that of a natural stone and paver patio design. It’s a process usually employed on concrete patios, pool decking, retaining walls, driveways, sidewalks and pathways.

Is it Cheaper to Lay Concrete or Pavers?

Concrete is superior on cost effectiveness and durability. Pavers usually range from $7-12 per square foot. The main problem with pavers is they require some maintenance every few years. They will shift and move with time requiring you to take the up the pavers and re-level the base. Pavers are great for aesthetics there are so many options to choose from you surely can find something to fit your specific needs.

Our professional contractors will provide you with the knowledge that you need for the best upkeep. In addition, we at GA CONCRETE AND GRADING will make sure that any safety concerns are taken into account when building your perfect patio and/or driveway.

Can You Pour your Own Concrete Patio?

You can but it will only save you the cost of the labor. Concrete straight from the plant costs around $140 per cubic yard. The labor involved in pouring a concrete slab is very demanding. Worst case scenario the concrete dries before you smooth it out and you are left with an unfinished slab that has visible humps and rocks.

There are plenty of times we have been called when the homeowner has started forming and decided it was too much for them. Other times they or an inexperienced contractor poured and the concrete got away from them. Either way we can help you out just give us a call.

How long will a Concrete Patio Last?

Concrete is designed to last 30 years but has often lasted more than 50 or 100 years. As concrete ages it gets harder up until about 40 years. Then it starts a very slow process of decomposing. The worst damage you will see is if there is erosion around the slab or tree roots causing cracking and deforming.
